Five-Run Fourth Inning Propels Birds to Victory  (Charleston, WV – July 11, 2024) – The Dirty Birds snapped Gastonia’s 12-game win streak on Thursday night. In a game that took 3 hours and 20 minutes, the Dirty Birds scored eight runs off nine hits and 10 walks.  Adrian Almeida, the Dirty Birds starting pitcher, earned his third win of the season. Charleston Hits Three Home Runs in 7-Run Loss  (Charleston, WV – July 10, 2024) – Despite hitting three home runs and scoring nine runs, the Dirty Birds fell to Gastonia 16-9 Wednesday afternoon. Keon Barnum hits 17th Home Run of the Year  (Charleston, WV – July 9, 2024) – The Dirty Birds drop game one to the Gastonia Baseball Club 8-7. Gastonia extends their win streak to 11 in-a-row.    Seth Nightingale took his first loss of the season after giving up the lead in the sixth inning. DIRTY BIRDS HANDED THEIR FIRST LOSS OF THE SECOND HALF
Charleston loses to Southern Maryland 18-5 (Charleston, WV – July 7, 2024) – The Dirty Birds lose their first game of the second half of the season. The Blue Crabs batted around twice in the game and strung together 21 hits in the contest.    Both teams committed three errors and two of the Southern Maryland runs were unearned. Alex Mack was handed his first loss of the season after allowing five runs in two innings of work. Keon Barnum Hits 15th Home Run for the Win  (Charleston, WV – July 6, 2024) – The Dirty Birds win game one of the second half of the season in walk-off fashion. The score was tied at four runs with Delino DeShields, Jr. on third base and Keon Barnum at the plate with two outs. Blue Crabs Score 10 Unanswered Runs for the Win  (Charleston, WV – July 5, 2024) – The Dirty Birds drop game one to Southern Maryland 11-6. The Birds led 5-1 in the seventh inning when the Blue Crabs sent 12 hitters to the plate for an eight-run inning.  Gabriel Rodriguez took the loss after giving up five of the runs in the seventh inning off one hit and five walks.
